CANNIBAL DREAM

The little cannibals fight on feet of clay,
but don’t take them for granted because
even though they are slow and stupid,
there are so many of them.

There is no reasoning with cannibals.
You can kill them, but their friends seem to enjoy it.
You can ask them to leave, but they are rude.
You can ignore them, but they have such bad breathe.
You can join them, but they’ll make you lunch.


Run away from the cannibals.
See if you can.
But wherever you go, the cannibals will be waiting.

So you better think of something else.

Laugh at the cannibals!
Smile at the cannibals with a big toothy grin.
Offer them treats and pet them.

When you wake, the cannibals will be gone
or you will be supper.
